Noah has been a bird watcher since he received his first bird feeder when he was kid.  Fast forward to today and Noah's bird watching expertise and enthusiasm has taken him to study over 6,000 birds on 6 continents.

The popularity of bird watching has been increasing over the past decade, and Noah shares some of his bird watching tips & tricks as well as what you should be looking for and listening for when searching out those rare bird species.

He'll also give you some great ideas for bird watching locations that are readily available within driving distance to your home, he'll touch on various feeding habits of birds, and some his favorite birds to watch.

About this week's guest, Noah Strycker

 

Noah is the Associate Editor of Birding magazine, and has authored three books about birds: Birding Without Borders, The Thing with Feathers, and Among Penguins.

He is a regular contributor to bird magazines, a popular speaker, and a blogger for the American Birding Association.

Noah also works as a naturalist guide for expedition cruises to Antarctica and the Arctic, spreading the inspiration of birds from pole to pole.

Based in Oregon, he has studied birds on six continents, and in 2015 set a world Big Year record by seeing 6,042 species in 365 days.
