In this episode of The Vegetable Gardening Show

In this episode of The Vegetable Gardening Show Mike chats with James Ross, the host of the weekly gardening radio show out of Kentucky called, Garden with James, about the rise and importance of community gardens.

An 11 year veteran of the Army, James retired from that life to start a new one that surrounds starting community gardens, building friendships and growing food for those in need.  Community gardening allows James to accomplish all 3.

James is going to fill us in on how to start a community garden and how you can find out if you already have a community garden in your area.  He'll tell us what we should be growing, some of the challenges you will face along the way, and some simple tips to make sure your community garden is a success.
