In this episode of The Vegetable Gardening Show

In this episode of the Vegetable Gardening show, Mike chats with Bill McDorman, the executive director of the Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance about how you should be saving your seeds to build a local seed library in your area.

For over 40 years, Bill, a once aspiring lawyer to be, switched gears to engage in the adventure of saving seeds that would grow well in his area of the country.

He traveled all the way to Siberia to source tomato seeds that were forgotten about by the world, hidden behind the Soviet iron curtain, to bring them back to his own seed library.

Today, Bill doesn't need to do much treasure hunting these days to source seeds for the Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance as many avid gardeners bring them to him.

Bill is going to tell us why it is so important to save our seeds and detail just how easy it is to do.  He is going to give us some of his seed saving stories, and how, right now, you can start a seed library in your area, for very little cost.
